'Jaya Karnataka' to make Tamils fight against TN policies
Mysore, Apr 5 (UNI) President of the newly formed political outfit 'Jaya Karnataka' Muthappa Rai today said the aim of his organisation was to make Tamils in the state fight against the highhandedness of Tamil Nadu Government in its policies concerning Karnataka.
Talking to newspersons here, he threatened that Tamil T V channels would be blocked out in the state if Kannada channels were not allowed to go on air in Tamil Nadu in the next two days.
He alleged that the state political leaders had forgotten about the welfare of the people and were not interested in solving the Hogenakkal issue.
On his outfit, he said 'Jaya Karnataka' was formed to safeguard the language, culture, land and water resources of the state and also to create future leaders and unify the people of the state.
Stating that about 2,000 activists had left the city to lay siege to the Tamil Nadu's drinking water project site at Hogenakkal, Mr Rai said his organisation would take up non-violent movements against the project.
