Sugar prices ease on thin buying support

Navi Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) Sugar prices fell today on thin buying support in the wholesale sugar market, Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Small and medium grade sugar declined by Rs 7 and Rs 5 per quintal respectively amid thin buying support.

Similarly, ex-mill small and medium grade also slipped by Rs 10 and Rs 20 per quintal respectively due to sluggish demand by bulk consumers, traders said.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,498/1,550, Medium grade: Rs 1,534/1,630 Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,480/1,515 and medium grade: Rs 1,525/1,555.
