RBI notifies Purchase of Vijaya Bank shares by FIIs/NRIs

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India today notified that on behalf of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) further purchases should be made of equity shares of Vijaya Bank, under the Portolio Investment Scheme. through the secondary market.

RBI, in a release here, said that investments under PIS for FIIs and NRIs in Vijaya Bank, has gone below the trigger limit of 20 per cent of their paid up capital.
