PMK MLA seeks redressel of fishermen's grievances

Puducherry, Apr 3: PMK member R K R Anantharaman today brought to the notice of the Territorial Assembly the plight of inland fishermen of Ariyankuppam.

Making a special mention during zero hour, Mr Anantharaman pointed out that the inland fishermen fishing in river Ariyankuppam were being affected by a mysterious skin disease.

Stating that though it was reported earlier,the administration had not taken any step in this regard, he urged the administration to take immediate steps to redress the grievence of the about 150 inland fishermen of Ariyankuppam.
