JK police arrests top Hizbul commander

Srinagar, Apr 3 : Jammu and Kashmir police arrested Junaid-ul-Islam, the Chief spokesman of the Hizbul Mujahideen here on Thursday.

A senior police officer said, "Islam was picked up from Baramulla district and is being questioned."

"The Hizbul Mujahideen has suffered major setback in past few days with some of its top cadres eliminated by the security forces, including the Divisional Commander of the south Kashmir, Aslam Khan, and District Commander, Javed Ahmad Lone, besides the arrest of its three top cadres in Handwara area on Wednesday," he added.
