'Cricket, Sangeet and Aani Mee' book release

Mumbai, Apr 3: Former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi and Legend of the cricket world Sunil Gavaskar unveiled the book 'Cricket, Sangeet and Aani Mee' written by Vilas Godbole at Ravindra Natya Mandir here.

In this book, Mr Godbole elaborates his experiences and memories about cricket and his stints as a cricketer and later a cricket coach as well as his tryst with music as his passion about music, according to an official release.

The author was an actively involved player. He has captained as well as coached many teams, nestled under the umbrella of the Mumbai Cricket Association. As a coach and manager with the Mumbai Cricket Association, he has lent support and guidance to cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Vinod Kambli, Guru Gupte, Kiran More, Sanjay Manjrekar and Lalchand Rajput.

At the function held yesterday, cricketer Chandu Borde, Bapu Nadkarni, editor of Loksatta Kumar Ketkar, classical musician Prabhakar Karekar and Pandharinath Kolhapure were also present, the release added.
