Man arrested for arriving with fake passport

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 02: The Airport police arrested a 33-year- old man when he arrived from Adu Dhabi with a fake passport at the International airport here yesterday.

Police said the immigration authorities on examining the travel documents of Syed Abdullah of Kumbakonam, who arrived here from Abu Dhabi via Colombo, found that his passport was fake.

Later, he was handed over to the police, who arrested him.

Abdullah was remanded to judicial custody, police said.
