Jammu, Apr 2 (UNI) Court has sentenced a Pakistan national, who was arrested by the Samba police in 1999 while he crossed into the Indian territory without valid documents, to 15 years in Jail.

The Jammu court yesterday awarded 15 years imprisonment to Mohammad Ajmal Chouhan alias Afria Sherkhan, son of Abdul Rehman of Atwaal, tehsil Shakergarh, district Narwal, Pakistan.

During the course of investigation, it had been revealed that accused Mohammad Ajmal Chouhan is an agent of ISI. One AK-56 rifle with one magazine and 30 live cartridges were also recovered on his disclosure.

A case was registered under sections 7/25 Arms Act, 6/14 Foreigners Act and 3/12 Indian Passport Act and after completion of the investigation Chouhan was presented in the court of law.

However, after recording the statement of the accused, it appeared from the case that accused was guilty for the commission of offence under section 7/25 Arms Act r/w section 6/14 Foreigners Act and 3/12 Indian Passport Act.
