HNL achieves record in production, sales

Kottayam, Apr 2: The Hindustan Newsprint Ltd (HNL) has achieved excellent performance in production and sales during the financial year 2007-2008. An official release here today said, HNL produced 1,16,11 MT of newsprint during the year, registering a capacity utilization of over 116 per cent and also sold 1,16,11 MT of newsprint, surpassing all previous records.

With this notable achievement in the sales front, HNL was able to begin the new financial year with zero stock consecutively for the last five years. The company has already launched an Expansion cum-Diversification project at an outlay of Rs 718 crore, the release added.
