Centre sanctions Rs 33.64 cr for road projects
Chandigarh, Apr 2 (UNI) Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned a sum of Rs 33.64 crore for executing five projects including widening of the National Highway No 71 between Jhajjar and Rewari in Haryana.
Giving this information here today, PWD (B&R) Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said that the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways T R Baalu had informed him through a letter that a stretch between Rewari and Jhajjar, which is part of the Rohtak-Bawal section had been identified for four laning under the National Highway Development Project Phase-III.
Capt Yadav said that Mr Baalu had also assured active consideration of the Rewari bypass, overhead rail bridge on Jhajjar-Rewari crossing subject to availability of land and viability of the project.
Enumerating the details of the five works to be executed by the National Highway Authority of India, Capt Yadav said that these included widening of the stretch of 10 km between Rewari to National Highway No 8, 12 km from Kulana to Tehna, 14 km from Tenhna to Rewari, 6 km stretch of Jhajjar town and 16 km from Jhajjar to Kulana.
