Brad Pitt set to produce 'Lost City of Z'

Washington, April : Brad Pitt's production company Plan B has picked up the rights to David Grann manuscript entitled 'Lost City of Z.'

Pitt is not only producing but will play the lead role of Col Percy Harrison Fawcett, the explorer who disappeared in 1925 while searching for the mysterious city, reports Variety.

Grann originally wrote Lost City of Z as a New Yorker article in 2005. An expanded version will also be published as a non-fiction book next February.

Meanwhile, Pitt's ex and former partner in Plan B, Jennifer Aniston has set up a new production company with Kristin Hahn.

The name of the production company is Echo Films.
