2 robberies in Mumbai, over Rs 15 lakh looted
Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) Robbers made away with cash and valuables worth Rs 15.50 lakh in two separate incidents in the metropolis in last 24 hours.
Aslam Ismail (30), businessman, was looted by four unidentified persons late last night at Govandi while he was on his way to home in a car.
Mr Aslam stated in his complaint that the miscreants, who were travelling in a autorickshaw, had stopped his car and, at knife point looted him and fled away with his bag containing cash of Rs 7.25 lakh.
In another incident, Mr Jaishankar Murlidhar Shukla (34) was robbed at Santacruz yesterday.
Mr Shukla, who is a driver by profession, was on his way when two persons stopped his car at Santracruz on the pretext of taking a lift. They sat in the car and snatched three mobile phones and cash of Rs 7,500 from his possession at gun point. They later forced Mr Shukla to get down and fled away with the car also which is valued at around Rs eight lakh.
