Torrential rains causes damage to property, injure 2 in city
Mysore, Mar 31 (UNI) Torrential rains caused damages to property, inundated most of the roads and houses in low-lying areas and injured two people in the city.
The rains, which continued to lash the city since last few days, had affected normal life in most of the low-lying areas.
A huge tree fell on a Maruti car and injured its two occupants last night. They were admitted to a private hospital.
In Industrial areas, a 100-ft compound wall of J K Tyres and an electric pole were damaged and collapsed. The worst affected was Jain Kaigarike, where a 40-ft cotton waste was collapsed.
The City Corporation officials were busy in clearing raods and drainages and were assessing the damage cost.
