Prof moves HC seeking ban on 'Black

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) Dr Khalid Alvi, professor and head of Urdu department in Zakir Hussain College, has moved the Delhi High Court seeking ban on the recently released film "Black&White" for allegedly portraying the Muslim community in bad light.

''The producer, director and the script writer have intentionally produced the film with an anti-Muslim angle,'' the petition mentions.

Film's producer-director Subhash Ghai has been accused by the petitioner of showing the Muslim community as sympathetic to terrorists.

The petitioner said depiction of the Muslims in the film is very disturbing. The students and the staff of the Zakir Hussain college were stunned and shocked to see the college being used as a refuge of the terrorists, he alleged and added that the film betrayed a malafide and inimical prejudice, hand in glove with the Censor Board, to malign their community as anti-national and unpatriotic.
