Politics, financial policies hostile to commanman: Medha Patkar
Allahabad, Mar 31 (UNI) Eminent social activist Medha Pathar, who led the Narmada Bachao Andolan, today said politics and financial policies are 'antagonistic' to common man of the country.
All aware citizens must raise a question on the structure of the politics, Ms Patkar said addressing a press conference here.
''Politicians have only become mediators and are selling the country to western countries...all implemented policies are on the direction of the western countries and the government is privatising the resources of common people,'' she alleged.
Ms Patkar further claimed that ''in every election, an option less condition is created against the voter, but we want to tell the public that options are always there and we will form a 'public Parliament'.'' Magsaysay award winner and social worker Sandeep Pandey, senior advocate R K Jain and social worker Kamla Pant were also present in the conference.
