Police be given army rights to deal with terrorists: Togadia
Gwalior, Mar 31 (UNI) VHP General Secretary Praveen Togadia today described 'jehadi' terrorism as dangerous for the country and said police should be granted army rights to tackle the menace.
Talking to reporters here today, Mr Togadia expressed concern over activities of banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) continuing. He alleged that SIMI activists were receiving local support.
He suggested the Centre grant army rights to police so that it could arrest 'jehadi' terrorists from them their house.
Alleging that the Centre was framing policies on religious lines, Mr Togadia pointed out that it made announcements to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore for Muslims.
The VHP leader said 'Ram Setu' was a matter of faith for Hindus.
He said an agitation would be launched in the whole country if efforts were made to demolish it.
