IOB okays takeover of Pune-based Coop bank

Mumbai, Mar 31: The Board of Directors of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) have approved in principle the proposed takeover of the Pune-based Shree Suvarna Sahakari Bank Ltd which is under moratorium. The Bank in a filing before the BSE said that the takeover was subject to due diligence evaluation and approval from the Regulatory and Statutory authorities concerned.
