Seven killed, 21 injured in truck-tempo collision

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Mar 30: Seven persons were killed, six of them on the spot, and 21 sustained grave injuries in a tempo-truck collision near Hingoli, about 250 km from here.

The victims were on their way back from Sailani Baba's dargah in a tempo yesterday, when their vehicle was hit by a speeding truck from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Vilas Markande, Vishnu Kadam, Mauli Trimbak Shelke, Manpat Marutirao Bhalerao, Vitthal Bhalerao, Sambhaji Shivaji Chavan and Nitish Bhujangrao Padole who breathed his last at the Hingoli hospital.

Seven injured, including four women, had been shifted to Nanded hopital, according to police.
