Reliance EPC bags Rs 1,200 crore contracts

New Delhi, Mar 30: Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Energy Ltd today said its EPC division has bagged two contracts worth about Rs 1,200 crore, for execution of 400 KV extra high voltage transmission system.

The contracts have been awarded by two independent private transmission companies (IPTC), which are 100 per cent owned companies of Reliance Power Transmission Ltd, a company statement said. The nine lines comprising about 4,300 towers will be commissioned by the end of 2009. REL's EPC division undertakes engineering, design, construction and execution of industrial projects in various fields like generation, transmission and distribution, mainly focusing on the power sector to achieve and set new benchmarks in the field of the power sector.
