Two policemen suspended for illegally confining youth
Sriganganagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Two police constable have been suspended for keeping a youth in "illegal confinement" at the Kotwali police station here last night.
Superintendent of Police Alok Vashisth told reporters here today that police constables Baljit Singh and Ashok Bishnoi had nabbed Hardeep Singh from the court premises on doubt of possession of illegal arms but the youth was kept in the lock up last night illegally without filing of a case against him.
The SP said that the allegation of torture levelled by the youth seemed to be false but the matter was being probed.
