Jadugar Anand to mesmerise Chennai audience

Chennai, Mar 28: World's fastest magician Jadugar Anand, who mesmerised the Chennai audience with 104 shows last year, is back again this year with his 112-member troupe, to enthrall the people of this city.

Talking to reporters here today, Anand said this time he would perform several new features and items for the people of the city from April four.

The show would be held at Kalaivanar Arangam. He was planning to host two shows a day and three during weekends for about a fortnight.

Anand, who holds the title of world's fastest magician, said they had many new and interesting items like ''disappearance of Statue of Liberty'' in slow motion and characters coming out of a running film to perform magic and going back to the film again.'' However, the icing on the cake would be the appearance of an elephant from the thin air, he added.

Apart from regular shows, Jadugar's son Akash Anand would perform a daredevil feat of fire escape on March 30 at MUC grounds, wherein his hands and legs would be chained and he would be thrown into the fire, from which he would make a daring escape.

With a view to highlighting the importance of safe driving, Akash would drive a motorcycle blindfolded through the main roads of Chennai.
