Fraud birth certificate case: CB submits charge sheet

Srinagar, Mar 28: Jammu and Kashmir police Crime Branch (CB) has filed a challan in a local court against a government official who allegedly submitted a fraud date of birth certificate.

A CB spokesman said store keeper in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department Mohammad Maqbool Bhat had submitted a fraud date of birth certificate in the department. He said during the investigation it was found that Bhat had changed his date of birth to remain in service for a longer period.

A case was registered in CB Kashmir under FIR number 52/07, he added. A chargesheet of the case had been presented against the accused employee before the court of Munsif Pulwama in south Kashmir yesterday.
