Khadi and village industries fair inaugurated

Una, Mar 27 (UNI) Una Deputy Commissioner Padam Singh Chauhan inaugurated the state level Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) fair here today.

More than 45 entrepreneurs, who have taken loans from KVIC for setting up their enterprises displayed their products for sale at the ten day exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chauhan urged the youth to take to self employment through various schemes offered by KVIC.

KVIC Director Amar Singh deliberated on the various programmes being run by the Commission in the state. He informed that subsidies to the tune of 18 crores of rupees had been distributed during the current financial year in the state to the youth taking to self employment schemes.

Implementing Agency Secretary YR Sharma of SAVE organisation and Additional Director of KVIC, Baldhari Singh also spoke on the occasion.
