Eddie Vedder sells Love Boat Captain guitar for 8,000 dollars

Washington, Mar 27 : Lead singer for the band Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, has sold off his guitar for 8,000 dollars at a fundraising auction.

The fundraising auction was held to raise money for legal costs to help jailed youths the West Memphis 3 defend themselves against murder charges.

The benefit was held at the New York home of 'Peter, Paul and Mary' star Peter Yarrow on Tuesday March 25.

Eddie Vedder has always spoken out that the three men convicted of the 1993 murder of three eight-year-old boys in West Memphis, Arkansas, were innocent.

In order to raise cash for the defence fund of the West Memphis 3, Vedder auctioned off concert seats and meet-and-greet sessions on his upcoming debut solo tour.
