AR Rehman praises Jaipur Gharana standards
Jaipur, Mar 27 (UNI) Renowned music director and singer A R Rehman today praised quality and standard of music and artists of Jaipur Gharana.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Rehman said, ''level of music from Jaipur Gharana is very special and singers here have impressed me a lot by their talent and standards.'' He said he has noticed many talented singers from Jaipur who have done well in Bollywood and elsewhere.
Replying to a question, Mr Rehman disagreed to the idea of drawing parallel between music generated by Naushad for Mughal-e-Azam and music given by him for new generation film ''Jodha-Akbar''.
Mr Tehman said there could be no comparison, he had tried to produce his best but he was no match to legandary Naushad.
For better music generation in films, Mr Rehman modestly said people should concentrate on quality and music directors should work freely to maintain quality and standards of music being generated by them.
He said he had always strieved to the above cause and he had been given full cooperation and free hand by film producers.
Mr Rehman is in the town along with his troupe for a concert in the Rajasthan Day celebration here tomorrow.
