Abducted child from Delhi rescued in North Bihar
Araria, Mar 27 (UNI) The Bihar police today rescued two-year-old Aakash, who was abducted from near his residence in Okhla Industrial Area of New Delhi on March 21, from a house near the Indo-Nepal border at Farbijgang in the district.
Holding the rescue operation as a major success, Deputy Superintendent of Police Awadish Kumar said acting on a tip off from the Delhi Police, a raid was conducted at Farbijganj, about 25 km from here, this morning to rescue Aakash.
While the child was rescued unharmed, two people, suspected to be his abductors or accomplices, were taken into custody for interrogation. However, no arms was recovered from them.
Both the arrested were soon taken to the district headquarters for further interrogation and trace their connection with any inter-state or international gang of child lifters, Mr Kumar said.
Meanwhile, a team of Delhi police along with Aakash's father were expected to arrive here this evening to take the child back home.
