Rahul Gandhi holds meeting with environmentalists
Mysore, Mar 26 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who is on a five-day tour of Karnataka from yesterday, held a meeting with environmentalists in the Rajiv Gandhi National Park (Nagarhole National Park) today.
Mr Gandhi, who stayed last night in the 'Cauvery Kuteera' in the Park, where his grandmother and late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had stayed 30 years ago, went for a morning safari for an hour inside the park.
Heavy security arrangements have been made in and around the park and entry for public was restricted.
Mr Gandhi was accompanied by Principal Conservator of Forests A K Verma and other officials during the safari.
Later, Mr Gandhi and KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge left for Mangalore.
