C P Thakur and N K Singh among winners in RS poll from Bihar

Patna, Mar 26 (UNI) NDA candidates Dr C P Thakur, Shivanand Tiwari and N K Singh, RJD candidate and Union Minister Premchand Gupta and LJP candidate Sabir Ali were declared elected to the Rajya Sabha from Bihar today, state Assembly Secretary-cum-Returning Officer Surendra Prasad Sharma said here.

Independent candidate Govind Pandey, however, lost the battle, he added.

BJP candidate Dr Thakur polled maximum votes, followed by JD(U) candidates Shivanand Tiwari and N K Singh, RJD candidate Prem Chand Gupta and LJP candidate Sabir Ali, he informed.
