Politicising holi for colourful politics

Lucknow, March 22, 2008 : No Holi celebration would be complete without the ever popular Pichkari, a syringe-like sprayer.

Pichkaris have undergone a big change in recent years and with Holi just around the corner, the Pichkaris sport symbols of political parties. In fact, for the 2008-Holi, the political parties have used the festival to make people aware of their party with Pichkaris flaunting their party colours and symbols, certainly with the elections in mind.
