Eight kg charas recovered in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in a joint operation recovered eight kg charas in south Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said police and CRPF put up a 'naka' at Sarnal in Anantnag district of south Kashmir following a tip off that some smugglers were smuggling out charas from the town.
During the naka, eight kg of charas was recovered. However, the smugglers gave slip to security forces, they said.
Police destroyed charas crops over thousands of kanals of land and arrested more than two dozen smugglers in south Kashmir districts of Pulwama and Anantnag last summer.
