MP: Attempt to burn alive former councellor

Tikamgarh (MP), Mar 25: An attempt was made to burn alive a former councillor by a few people over a trifle argument in this district, police said today.

Former Tohri councillor Ramcharan Yadav had a small argument with neighbour Vrindavan Rai over some matter on the night of March 23.

Later, Vrindavan's family members poured kerosene over Ramcharan and set him on fire.

Ramcharan sustained severe burn injuries and was sent to Gwalior for treatment. The accused were absconding.
