Adopted son of late TN CM commits suicide
Chennai, Mar 25 (UNI) Dr C N A Parimalam, the adopted son of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai, allegedly committed suicide at his residence here early today.
He was 67.
Police sources said Parimalam, who was suffering from heart ailment, ended his life by jumping into the well of his house.
Parimalam, who lost his wife Saroja two years back, is survived by two sons, Manivannan (43), Sowmyan (40) and one daughter Ilavarasi (38).
He was admitted to a private hospital about ten days back for a heart ailment and was discharged yesterday.
The body was removed to the Government Royapettah Hospital where a post-mortem was conducted. It was later shifted to his residence in Nungambakkam.
Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa condoled the death of Parimalam and said it was a great loss not only to his family but also to all those connected with the family of Annadurai.
She described Parimalam as a humble person and expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
