MP: 10 yrs' imprisonment for smuggling heroin

Ratlam (MP), Mar 25: A local court today sentenced two people to 10 years' imprisonment and fined them Rs one lakh each on the charge of smuggling heroin.

According to prosecution, Mandsaur-resident Anand and Mumbai-resident Mohammed Nasir were arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau on March 2, 2004, with 1.5 kg heroin and 1.25 kg heroin respectively.

Judge P S Patidar delivered the verdict yesterday.
