Two police jawans injured in naxal attack
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 24 (UNI) Two police jawans were injured during a naxal-triggered landmine blast at Sitram village in this district, police said today.
Kanker Collector K R Pisda told UNI here that about 80-90 police officials had gone to a fair in the village in 12 vehicles along with Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi yesterday.
Naxalites triggered the explosion near Padampalli while they were returning last evening. Police jawans Muleshwar Verma and Jageshwar were injured during the incident. Their condition was stated to be stable.
Mr Dangi said police opened fire on the ultras after the explosion following which they fled. All of them reached safely at about 0130 hours in the night.
