New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Eyeing the four billion dollar global mobile IPTV segment, Time Broadband Services Pvt Ltd (TBSL) has launched its services in Malaysia and will expand it to China, India and Ukraine over the next three months.

''We expect to roll out the services in the next two-three months in China and Ukraine, while in India, it will be done in about three-four months,'' said TBSL CEO&MD Sujata Deb.

The company will foray in each country with an initial investment of 10 million dollars.

Refusing to forecast any revenue figure, TBSL said it is looking at revenue from subscription as well as advertising verticals.

''The services provide an excellent platform for companies to advertise and reach a broader consumer segment,'' said Director (Commercial) and CFO Tushar Shah.

TBSL, in a joint venture with Malaysia's Stanton Technologies, has signed an agreement with Chinese government entity Potevio to provide IPTV services to over 500 million mobile subscribers in China.

Stanton is providing the technology to deliver the mobile IPTV to the existing 2.5G platform.

''We understand that spectrum is a problem in India and expect it to be sorted out soon. We are using 2.5G now and are in discussion with service providers to decide on the future course of action,'' Mr Shah told UNI.

TBSL has also set up a content licensing centre. ''It will allow companies to source content without piracy and the industry will not lose out on revenue,'' he said.
