Low pressure weakens, clear skies forecast
Chennai, Mar 23 (UNI) Cricket fans here can breath a sigh of relief as yesterday's well marked low pressure area over south east Arabian Sea has weakend with the Met officials here forecasting clear skies for the rest of the week.
Met officials said there may be isolated few spell of rain in the city during the next 48 hours.
The city experienced heavy rainfall for the past one week. The rains not only battered the city but also put the players of Indian and South African cricket teams who arrived here for the first Test match to be played from March 26 to 30, off the field.
After the rains, there was bright sunshine today and the groundsmen at the M A Chidambaram stadium, the venue, were seen busy preparing the pitch and rolling it. The outfield has dried up.
