Low pressure to cause rains in next 24 hours
Kolkata, Mar 23 (UNI) Slight drizzles in the morning provided respite to the Kolkatans today but may take a reverse turn with heavy rains in the next 24 hours.
Alipore Met officials told UNI here that a low pressure has been created in the Bay of Bengal from Bihar to the coastal Bangladesh.
Under the influence of this heavy to very heavy rains might occur at most of the places over Jharkhand, Tripura, Orissa and Gangetic West Bengal, officials said.
There is also a possibility of thunder squalls with wind speed of 50-60 km per hour at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and its adjoining areas.
Today's minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius with maximum humidity of about 89 per cent.
