100 kg poppy husk seized; two arrested in Jammu
Jammu, Mar 23 (UNI) Two drug peddlers, one from Punjab another Bihar, were arrested along with 100 kg poppy husk (Bhukki) at Mansar in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
The 'Bhukki' was being smuggled from Srinagar to Punjab.
A police party from Samba intercepted a truck and recovered 88 packets of the drug, weighing 100 kg, concealed in a superficial fuel tank yesterday, they said.
The arrested were identifed as Krishan Singh of Kot Kallan, Phagwara Road, Punjab (driver) and Mantosh Yadav of Bihar (conductor).
Police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against the accused.
