YSR wants inclusive growth in AP economy
Hyderabad, Mar 22: Expressing satisfaction over the pace of economic growth since the Congress came to power in 2004, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy today said he wanted ''inclusive growth of economy in the state.'' According to an official release here, Dr Reddy, in an interview to a national TV news channel here said, ''there is buoyance in the economy. We have made record allocations for all important sectors like irrigation, housing, health and education without increasing any taxes for the last four years.'' Dr Reddy said agricultural production registered a record 190 lakh million tonnes, clocking more than 10 per cent growth in the agricultural sector this year.
'We have many more hurdles to cross before we improve the quality of life of the people. My ultimate aim is to wipe out tear from every eye and see glow on the faces of people. I shall not rest till then. This is my pledge to my people,' the Chief Minister said.
