Heavy showers predicted in coastal region

Bangalore, Mar 22: Weatherman has predicted a few spell of rain with heavy showers at times and generally a cloudy day for the city.

A meteorological Department press release said that under the influence of well marked low pressures area over South Arabian Sea and adjoining Kerala-Karnataka coast moderate to heavy rain or thunder showers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and at many places over the South interior Karnataka.

The Meteorological Department said that heavy rains were likely to occur at a few places with isloated very heavy rain over Coastal Karnataka and South interior Karnataka during the next 48 hours.

The upper air circulation extended upto 5.8 kilometres above the sea level, it said.
