Governor, CM greet people on eve of Easter

Panaji, Mar 22 (UNI) Goa Governor S C Jamir and Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today greeted the people of the state on the eve of Easter that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

''Let us all rejoice on the resurrection of the Lord. May the victory and joy of the living Christ be our moral, spiritual and ethical beacon in the days to come and usher our lives into the infinite holiness of peace and serenity,'' the Governor said in his message.

The Chief Minister in a seperate message, urged the people to ''resolve to serve the needy in true spirit of love, compassion and humility''.

He said we could build a strong Goa by holding to the rich teachings of our great spiritual leader and maintaining religious tolerance.
