3 Surat businessmen killed in road accident in Vadodara

Vadodara, Mar 22 (UNI) Three businessmen from Surat were killed and another injured when a car they were travelling in collided head-on with a Rajasthan-bound truck on the national highway number 8 near Karjan, about 40 km from here, early today.

Karjan police sources said the victims were returning to Surat from Ahmedabad when the accident occured. They were immediately rushed to the Karjan civil hospital where Suraj Mangalbhai (49), Mahant Hansa Bapu (43) and Amit Thakaria (23) were declared dead.

The bodies of the victims were handed over to their kins after post-mortem conducted at the Karjan hospital.

Police was looking for the truck driver who fled, leaving his vehicle on the spot.
