Two killed after falling off elevated road in Punjab

Ludhiana, Mar 21: Two persons were killed when their motorcycle fell off the elevated road near the old fruit and vegetable market in the city last night, police today said. According to police the victims were on their way home when the mishap occurred. One of the deceased was identified as Lalit Kumar.

The elevated road passes through the busy areas of the city connecting the Chand cinema chowk to Jagraon chowk. A number of incidents of vehicles falling off the elevated road during night hours have taken place as proper protection measures have not been ensured on both sides of the road.
