Slain prof's son's fast ended
Bhopal, Mar 21 (UNI) Mr Himanshu Sabharwal, the son of Ujjain's slain Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal, today said he would take a 'Nyayrath' (Justice Chariot) across Madhya Pradesh in support of a demand for handing over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
''My fast unto death, which began here on March 18, was ended after the administration's intervention,'' he told UNI over telephone.
Additional District Magistrate Rajneesh Shrivastav said doctors who examined Mr Himanshu at the fast-unto-death spot had recommended that he be hospitalised.
Prof Sabharwal died during a violence at Ujjain's Madhav College about two years back following abrupt postponement of a students' union poll. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad office-bearers were named as accused.
