Mathura set for Holi, observe Barawafat today
Mathura, Mar 21 (UNI) People of the 'Krishna ki nagri' here today celebrated 'Chotti Holi' and the festival of 'Barawafat' with full joy and enthusiasm.
The whole city, well known for the celebration style of this festival, seems to have taken a dip in the hues of happiness and peace.
The idols of 'Holika' and 'Prahlad' were seen round the city, sources said.
The 'Chaturved samaj' took out a procession that started from Vishram ghat and passed through the busy streets of the city.
On the other hand, the Muslim community celebrated the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed Id-E-Milad-Un-Nabi (Barawafat).
A procession was also taken out amid tight security arrangements in his rememberance.
