Nashik, Mar 21: A 24-year-old woman, missing from her home since March 13, has been rescued from Junagadh district in Gujarat and four persons have been arrested in connection with her kidnapping.

Anil Murarai, a resident of Kamatwadi in Ambad, had lodged a complaint with the police saying his wife, Pallavi, had left the house on March 13 and had not returned.

Pallavi's father-in-law received an anonymous call on March 15 and the caller demanded Rs 15 lakh for her release. The caller had, however, mentioned a place in Junagadh where the ransom amount was to be delivered.

Ambad police reached Junagadh and, with the help of the local police there, arrested two persons -- Sanjay Suresh Solanki (24) and Abdul Nazar Hussain (23) who had come to collect the amount.

Two more persons -- Mayur Deepak Rathod and Javed Allarakha Sama -- were subsequently arrested upon interrogation of the two held earlier. Pallavi was rescued yesterday and brought to Nashik today.
