Govt will take measures to increase agri production: CM
Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state government would take all measures to increase the agricultural production.
Laying the foundation stone for the Rs 2400 crore-Agricultural Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Kodavaluru near here, he said the SEZ would provide employment to 10,000 youth and it would have food processing and cold storage facilities.
He said the state government was committed to the welfare of the people and had decided to supply rice at a rate of Rs two per kg from April this year.
Later, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to the tune of Rs 10.30 crore to Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the district.
