Elaborate security arrangements for festivals in Bihar

Patna, Mar 21 (UNI) The Bihar government has made elaborate security arrangements for ensuring a peaceful Holi, Good Friday and Fateha-d-Daham today.

The festivals of Hindu, Christians and Muslims fall on the same day, a rare occasion in this century's almanac.

The district magistrates and the police superintendents have been asked to maintain maximum vigil and ensure free movement for all faiths.

All liquor shops were ordered to close for the day.

There had been no untoward incident so far, reports reaching here said.

Prohibitory orders have been promulgated in Samastipur district in view of feared Maoist attack.
