Coop bank chairman remanded in graft case

Nashik, Mar 21: A local court has remanded Shriram Co-operative Bank Chairman Vijay Patil in judicial custody till March 23.

Patil, the main accused in the Rs 70.63-crore scam, was arrested on March 15 and remanded in police custody.

He was produced before a local court yesterday after he moved the court saying he was ill and, so, should be granted judicial custody.

Meanwhile, Patil has repaid all the loan amount taken from the bank and has submitted a certificate of the bank in the court.
