Annual exam of Gorakhpur university put off

Gorakhpur, Mar 21 (UNI) Taking note of the upcoming bypoll for Khalilabad Lok Sabha seat, the Deep Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University has postponed its yearly examination commencing from March 25 here.

University's vice-chancellor and Gorakhpur divisional commissioner Rajiv Kumar today said as most of the colleges would be occupied for the bypoll and there would be shortage of police force, the varsity's examination scheduled from March 25 to April 18 have been put off.

The details of the new schedule would be declared soon, he added.

On April 12, byelection would be held in the Khalilabad LS seat in Basti division.
